The Nix by Nathan Hill

Holy shit. To call this a masterpiece would be an understatement. Yes, it’s an epic, but it’s worth every word.

The Nix is the perfect combination of plot, folklore, and history, and I had a disgustingly hard time putting it down; the audiobook is almost a full 24 hours long, yet I finished it in 5 sittings (!!). Every time I thought it was starting to get the tiniest bit monotonous, Hill unraveled a hidden thread, and I was hooked all over again.
